While these things may be expressions of our relationship with Him, they are not the reason He loves us.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gods_Love_Was_Demonstrated_While_We_Were_Still_Sinners\"><\/span>God&#8217;s Love Was Demonstrated While We Were Still Sinners<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">One of the clearest pictures of <strong>God&#8217;s unconditional love<\/strong> is found in Romans 5:8:<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">&#8220;But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Notice that Christ did not die for us after we had cleaned up our lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He died for us while we were still sinners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Before we prayed.<br \/>\nBefore we repented.<br \/>\nBefore we understood grace.<br \/>\nBefore we had anything to offer Him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The cross is proof that God&#8217;s love reaches us long before we ever reach for Him.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Difference_Between_Human_Love_and_Gods_Love\"><\/span>The Difference Between Human Love and God&#8217;s Love<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Human love is often conditional.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">People may love us because of what we do, what we provide, how we make them feel, or how we meet their expectations. While healthy relationships involve commitment and sacrifice, human love can sometimes become tied to performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">God&#8217;s love is different.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">His love remains constant when we succeed and when we fail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He does not wake up one morning feeling more loving toward you because you had a good quiet time. Nor does He withdraw His affection because you stumbled.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Like a loving father helping a child learn to walk, God understands our weaknesses and continues to extend grace as we grow.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Prodigal_Son_and_Gods_Unconditional_Love\"><\/span>The Prodigal Son and God&#8217;s Unconditional Love<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Jesus beautifully illustrated <strong>God&#8217;s unconditional love<\/strong> in the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32).<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The younger son demanded his inheritance, left home, wasted everything, and found himself feeding pigs. Stop Measuring Your Worth by Your Performance<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Your value was established at the cross.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Jesus considered you worth dying for before you ever did anything for Him.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Read_What_Scripture_Says_About_Gods_Love\"><\/span>2. Read What Scripture Says About God&#8217;s Love<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Spend time in passages such as Romans 8, Psalm 103, John 15, and 1 John 4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Allow God&#8217;s Word to redefine how you see yourself.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Receive_Grace_Daily\"><\/span>3. Come to God Honestly<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You do not need to impress God.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He already knows your strengths and weaknesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Come to Him as you are, trusting His love and mercy.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gods_Love_Never_Fails\"><\/span>God&#8217;s Love Never Fails<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">One of the most comforting promises in Scripture is found in Romans 8:38-39:<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">&#8220;For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Nothing can separate believers from the love of God.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Not your past.<br \/>\nNot your mistakes.<br \/>\nNot your failures.<br \/>\nNot your fears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">God&#8217;s unconditional love is not fragile. It is steadfast, enduring, and eternal.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Final_Thoughts\"><\/span>Final Thoughts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Gospel is not a story about people trying to earn God&#8217;s love. It is the story of a loving God pursuing people who could never earn it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You do not have to strive for God&#8217;s affection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You do not have to prove your worth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You do not have to earn what Jesus has already secured through the cross.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">God&#8217;s unconditional love is a gift freely given through Christ.
