We are ambassadors in training and equipping<\/em>. That\u2019s not just a powerful statement, it\u2019s a divine mandate. An ambassador carries the full weight of the nation he or she represents. It is as if that represented authority is there themselves. They reflect the official position of that sovereign body. Jesus was like that when he walked amongst us. He represented the Father. He said he who has seen me has seen the Father (John 14:9).<\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul told us in 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 <\/a>that we are Christ’s ambassadors, who has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation. God has reconciled the world to Himself in Christ and doesn’t count men\u2019s sins against them. It’s our job to communicate that to the lost.\u00a0As believers in Christ, we are called to be active participants in advancing God\u2019s kingdom purpose on earth. Matthew 6:33 tells us to “Seek first God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness.”<\/em> So everything we do in life is about seeking God and being His ambassador at home and in the workplace.<\/p>\n

Before Jesus left the earth, he not only issued a commission but also made provision for us to partake in training and equipping, <\/em>where we are prepared for the work of ministry, but also for growth into maturity. So, when we gather in church, we are stepping into a space of preparation for training and equipping in righteousness.<\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 4:11\u201313, \u201cSo Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.\u201d<\/p>
